Located in the heart of Connecticut in the quintessential New England town of Simsbury, Ensign Bickford has the exciting new role of PCBA Process Engineer, designed to support our Printed Circuit Board Assembly line.
This role directly works with highly complex Aerospace and Defense electronics and offers the unique ability to be a key contributor early in the design phases of electronic circuit boards while being a contributing member to PCBA manufacturing operations. This blend will enhance technical capabilities to continue personal and professional growth in a high performing team. Responsibilities:
The candidate will be responsible for EBAD’s PCBA manufacturing line, including but not limited to the following:
Program and utilize conformal coating equipmentKnowledge of mixing and manually staking electronics components Creates and maintains product structures and routers in IFS Applications, an ERP systemDevelop standard work and manufacturing process documentation defining the operation of the PCBA equipment Train operators to standard work and manufacturing process documentationProvide input to manufacturability of PCBA designs for new productsEnsure manufacturing readiness of PCBAsCoordinate design and procurement of tooling, fixtures and work aides for manufacturing of PCBAsDevelop and implement continuous improvement activities to improve product quality and manufacturing rate Interface with a variety of personnel in support of production including technicians, quality engineers, inspectors, planner, program managers, project engineers and design engineersRequirements:
The successful candidate must have a AS/BS in electrical engineering or equivalent work experience in electronics operations and 5-10 years of experience.PCB Assembly, IPC & J-STD Specification KnowledgeExposure to SMT Equipment Setup, Operation, and MaintenanceExposure to PCBA conformal coating and staking methods and equipmentDemonstrated capabilities writing proceduresDemonstrated strong problem solving skillsKnowledge on configuration management practicesPreferred Skills:
