JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Skills and proficiency in oral and written grammar, communication, and basic mathematics as acquired through official completion of high school or its equivalent.
Experience
Knowledge of patient care technician practices as related patient care activities and hospital policies and procedures as acquired though on-the-job training. Knowledge of basic non-technical skills as acquired through on-the-job training.
Physical
Normal hospital environment. Mobility, sight, hearing, verbal communication, changes in temperature. Exposure to unpleasant elements (dust, fumes, odors, water, etc.) exposure to biological, mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards. Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Lifting up to 100lbs., carrying up to 40lbs., pushing/pulling up to 350lbs.

JOB SUMMARY
The Cath/EP Technician performs various duties and assists in the care of patients as assigned by the Director of the Cath/EP Labs and Team Leader. The Cath/EP Technician promotes public relations for the unit, nursing division, and the medical center. Must communicate effectively within the organization. Responsible for all behavior of Cath/EP Technician job description and duties as assigned. Projects a positive attitude to patients, staff, visitors, and students. Incumbents are subject to overtime and call-back as required by hospital.
