Schedule: Part Time Night shift 7p-7a

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides direct and indirect patient/resident care activities under the direction of Registered Nurse and/or Licensed Practical Nurse.  Assists patient/residents with ADLS, provides for personal care, comfort and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for.

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:

High school graduate or GED preferred. Completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant program OR be listed as having passed CNA competency testing on the Iowa Direct Care Worker registry. May be certified as a medic or Combat Lifesaver (through military duty) or have EMS certification as a base provider. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required.  New employees certify within three (3) months after hire date. Nursing assistant experience in a hospital setting preferred. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Ability to communicate well verbally. Must work effectively as a member of a team. Basic computer knowledge
