YOUR ROLE New product development for coating application, including polymer and adhesive development.Provide support to customers and internal team including manufacturing and TCS/Sales for existing epoxy and UV cure product line.
Daily lab 5s maintenance. Responsibilities Focus on a bulleted list of three to five primary responsibilities and duties of the position including the key relationships the stakeholder is required to develop or interact with, or whether responsible for team management.
Conceive innovative routes in new products (polymer, metal coating, adhesive) and processes and perform advanced instrumental analysis and test to characterize their performance.
Employ new concepts to the existing and new materials and apply state-of-art technology to new products and processes.
Monitor the state-of-art technology advancement in the form of patents, trade secrets, and formulation know-how. Proactively search for new ideas and technology from within or outside.
Executes lab testing and generates test data and documentation. For instance, tabulate, plot, and interpret data to determine trends and recommend future experiments.
Plan and organize laboratory projects, maintain meticulous records using digital tools, and present results and status to stakeholders.
Engage with colleagues in manufacturing to scale-up products developed in the lab and sustain existing products.
Assure all work is carried out in a safe manner, and products and processes comply with all regulatory requirements in the region (APAC and China).
Translates customer and market feedback into technical specifications and develops product formulations and applicable data packages for specific customers and general market. What the Role Can Offer You
Independently taking PD role in projects work and work together with project team to deliver results on time.
Generate new ideas for current work and for future projects and engage in patenting innovative work to secure proprietary technology.
Communicate frequently and present results to research colleagues and the business.
Comply with SHE policies and rules and maintain good safety performance. YOUR SKILLS Education background: Above master’s degree.
Education background: Majored in chemistry, polymer science, materials/metallurgy, chemical Engineering, or other relevant disciplines. 5+ years industrial experience of relevant industrial experience (especially, polymers, metal coatings, and adhesives).
Prior knowledge of adhesive, metal coating, corrosion and formulating is essential.
Especially, previous experience in metals and (pre/post-treatment) process plus.
He / She should be self-motivated and an independent contributor with and/or without minimal supervision.
Proven track record of on-time product development delivery from idea generation to completion is required.
Proven ability to invent and innovate, and strong ability to design and implement experiments are needed.
Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong teamwork skills with excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to collaborate with others and independently on multi-task assignments. Especially, dedication to global SBU collaboration required.
Technical writing and presentation skills.
