Job Overview:
The Speech Pathologist will provide therapy treatment to inpatients and outpatients with a diagnosis of stroke as needed, as well as patients in our LTAC and Kindred.

Required:
Master s degree in Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited college or universityCertifications and Licenses Required:
Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing AssociationLicensed by the State of New JerseyScheduling Requirements:
Weekday/weekend/holiday shifts on an as-needed basisPer DiemEssential Functions:
Evaluate patients on the initial visit, at regularly scheduled intervals and at discharge using standardized tests and measurements and direct observationFormulate objective treatment goals and plan to achieve goalsModify goals and plan as neededProvide medically prescribed treatments for patients in acute care, Kindred hospital and outpatientsComplete written or computerized documentation in the medical record as pertains to the patient's statusComplete other forms and letters as requiredParticipate in interdisciplinary team conferences, patient and family meetings and other committees and meetings as assignedMaintain knowledge of current laws and standards of practice as relates to speech language pathologyParticipate in educational activities including student supervision and provision of education in areas of expertise or interestContribute to hospital and community education within the scope of knowledge as requestedBenefits and Perks:
