The project manager will provide leadership the peace building activities under way in the Amhara, Tigray and Benishangul region EU funded Peace Building project implementation and monitoring.
The job holder is fully responsible for the smooth, cost effective, efficient and timely implementation of the project activities as per the implementation plan and allocated budget.
Provide operational and administrative support to project activities to secure project implementation as per agreed standards.
Ensure stakeholders’ participation and involvement in peace building activities for project success and sustainability.
Facilitate the project initiatives geared towards reducing both intra and inter-community conflicts between the East, West Wollega and Kamashi zone communities.
Plan, manage, coordinate and followup the overall project implementation with the aim of achieving planned project goal.
Manage the development and implementation of necessary training materials, assessments and innovative approaches to increase learning around PB in collaboration with partners, hired consultants and WVE support offices .
Leads workshops, training and other capacity building activities to build local actors PB capacity in project location.
Collaborate with local government leadership, partners and colleagues to plan, develop, and produce tools and communication vehicles to enhance capacities, policies and systems leading to improved social cohesion in the target areas.
Reviewing the technical quality of the program by conducting site visits to project locations and providing technical assistance on program implementation, monitoring progress and evaluating performance, reviewing and analyzing results, and recommending changes in implementation.

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification.
Minimum of MA in Peacebuilding, Development Studies, Sociology, International Relations, Conflict studies or another related field.
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
Knowledge of peace building and conflict transformation skills and concepts, knowledge of the local context of the project location.
At least 5 years field experience working with Communities in Peace-Building programming in an NGO context.
Minimum of 2 years management experience.
