Inova Fairfax Children's Hospital is looking for Pediatric Audiologist to join our growing team. This role is full time, Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week. Will be administering diagnostic hearing tests, hearing aid fittings, BAHA experience necessary. Split time between two locations, Inova Fairfax Hospital and Willow Oaks location.

Pediatric Audiology Job Responsibilities:

 

Completes full diagnostic hearing assessments using the appropriate testing method and equipment for the patient type, diagnosis, and reason for referral.Formulates and/or implements a treatment plan to address deficits and patient/family areas of concern.Communicates effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors and outside contacts.Demonstrates advanced communication skills necessary for effective problem-solving, and conflict resolution and facilitates group interactions to achieve desired outcomes as evidenced by team feedback and observation.Demonstrates advanced clinical expertise in patient evaluation treatment and documentation.Functions with the knowledge and skill of an advanced clinician who is sought out by others for advice and guidance.Collaborates with the patient and/or family whenever possible to set treatment priorities and select activities that maximize participation in the treatment process as evidenced by feedback and observation.

Pediatric Audiology Additional Requirements:

Certification - Certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology (CCC-A)

Licensure - Virginia Audiology License from the Virginia Department of Health Professions, Board of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology 

Experience - None Required, 2-5 years preferred

Education - Doctoral degree in Audiology (AuD) or prior to January 1, 2008 a Master’s in Audiology from an accredited institution
