Pediatric Behavioral Health RN Location: Fuquay-Varina, NC Job Type: Full-time Contract - 13 weeks - extension and direct hire options Work Hours: 36/48 hours per week, biwkly rotating schedule, 7p-7a Job Duties / Essential Functions + Provide nursing care based on client needs. + Assist with the development of plan of care. + Observe client behavior and physical status and notify Licensed Clinician, DON and/or Physician of changes in condition. + Assist in maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment that respects client's rights. + Assist clients with activities of daily living, encouraging independent behavior when appropriate. + May supervise LPN's during shift. + Assist in the performance and/or observation of restraints as necessary when ordered by a licensed professional using the current approved KidsPeace restraint methodology on youth who may weigh in excess of 250 pounds and who are verbally and/or physical threatening or otherwise presenting a threat to themselves or others. + Administer medications as per Physician's orders and observe, record, and report evidence of adverse reactions to medications. + Perform all other duties as assigned by Director of Nursing and Leadership. Qualifications + Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing and current North Carolina RN Licensure required. + One year nursing experience preferred. + Must attend 12 hours of Person Centered Thinking training prior to or within 90 days of hire. + The candidate must pass the criminal record history clearance and a child abuse clearance and any other required clearances as well as possess a valid driver's license. + LSCI, SCM, Ukeru training as appropriate for position.
