Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer Registered IP
 The Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer Registered IP is responsible for performing a range of cardiac ultrasound procedures under the guidance and close supervision of the chief technical sonographer to help physicians assess and determine the cardiac conditions of patients. The role delivers exceptional customer service through the prioritization of patient safety, preferences, and effective communication, through partnering with patients, families, colleagues, and external stakeholders to contribute to accurate cardiac diagnostics and patient-centered care. The position focuses on providing care to pediatric patients in cardiac settings.

Talent Pool: Allied Health

Performs routine and special exams consistent with established protocols with good diagnostic quality.

Analyzes test data and accurately communicates findings to reading cardiologists to aid in proper diagnosis and treatment planning and ensure seamless collaboration between the sonographer and cardiologists.

Operates, troubleshoots, and requests repair of all testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results and promote patient safety and efficient workflow.

Maintains professional and CPR certification to adhere to industry standards and ensure readiness to respond to any cardiac emergencies that may arise.

Administers image enhancing agent as ordered to optimize quality of echocardiogram.

Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:
Required: 0-1 years in Healthcare- Ultrasound Training program

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), holding registries in both adult and pediatric echo, or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) and Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular credentialing International (CCI);
BLS (CPR)- American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare provider
