Pediatric Emergency Department Tech
Responsible for rendering technical patient care and assistance to assigned patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Treatment rooms and the storeroom are appropriately stocked with supplies to ensure prompt patient treatment. 

Organizes and prioritizes technical patient services delivered according to Medical Center and department policies and procedures.Implements actions to ensure efficient and effective services to patients according to department policies and procedures.Applies principles of safety and infection control to ensure the safety of patients and staff according to Medical Center and department policies and procedures.Interfaces effectively with peers and customers and assumes responsibility for professional development of self and others per department policy.

In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Position Compensation Range: $15.07 - $23.36 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent
Experience: No experience required
Licensure: Must be State Certified as one of the following: EMT-B EMT-C EMT-ST or EMT-P. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling and reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull > 100lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, humidity, cold, heat, radiation, outdoor climate, blood/body fluids, infectious disease, noise and dust.
