Recruitment/Posting Title Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist (Assistant/Associate) Department CINJ-Ped Hematology/Oncology Salary Commensurate With Experience Posting Summary Rutgers Cancer Institute, the state’s only National Cancer Institute Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, located in New Brunswick, NJ, is seeking a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist to join the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. An Academic Physician provides cutting-edge patient care, contributes to the innovative education of physicians, and participates in groundbreaking clinical research through the enrollment of patients onto clinical trials.The ideal candidate has the opportunity to contribute to ongoing trial accrual and to develop teaching initiatives with medical students, fellows, and house staff. Academic appointment will be commensurate with experience and housed in the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School with a resident faculty appointment at the Rutgers Cancer Institute. Faculty at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School will have the opportunity to engage in exciting teaching and mentorship activities for medical students and residents as well as targeted lectures in their area of expertise.
Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology The multidisciplinary team of experts within the Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology combines exceptional expertise, knowledge, and skill with advanced therapies to treat benign and malignant conditions in children, adolescents and young adults in a comprehensive and compassionate environment. Physicians are among the nation’s most experienced with expertise in routine, rare and complex cancers and blood disorders. Our clinical researchers lead innovative trials, with active roles in cooperative groups, as well as industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated trials.

The New Jersey Pediatric Hematology Oncology Research Center of Excellence (NJ PHORCE) is a newly-formed Center of Excellence at the Rutgers Cancer Institute, created in 2021 and supported by a dedicated appropriation from the State of New Jersey. The broad objectives of this Program are to support laboratory science focused on the biology of pediatric cancer and blood disorders as well as translational and clinical research focused on improving therapeutic options for children diagnosed with these conditions.
