Job Overview:
Evaluates patient s psychotherapeutic needs, performs psychological testing and provides psychotherapy for outpatient populations.
Qualifications:
Required:
PhD, PsyD, or EdDNJ Psychology license AHA BLS Provider CertificationExperience working with children/teens on the Autism spectrum1+ year of job-related experience1+ year of children and/or adolescent experienceExperience with cognitive behavioral modification Ability to relate therapeutically with the professional team, children, adolescents and their parents/significant othersCertifications and Licenses Required:
NJ Psychology licenseAHA BLS Provider CertificationScheduling Requirements:
Full Time40 hours/weekFlexibility in scheduleEssential Functions:
Provides effective individual, family, group psychotherapy as indicatedIdentifies realistic goals for psychotherapyAttends program development and case conferences as indicated for patients treated or evaluatedProvides in-services to staff and community agencies as requested by SupervisorPerforms complete psychodiagnostic evaluations as indicatedDisseminates findings accurately and sensitively and according to Department policyProvides supervision to staff, fellows, interns, externs as indicatedProvides effective team consultation as neededDisplays competency in obtaining and interpreting the parents behavior based upon an understanding of cognitive, bio-psychosocial and aging processesDisplays an understanding of the developmental needs of the patient when planning and implementing treatmentMeet minimum annual expected volumesOther Duties:
