Position OverviewUnited Health Services, the largest and most comprehensive provider of healthcare services in upstate New York's Southern Tier, is hiring a Staff Registered Nurse, Pediatrics to join our team at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. The Pediatric team is a cohesive, team oriented group. Each nurse cares for up to 6 patients at a time. The team is passionate about making the stay as comfortable as possible for the patient and the family! Primary Department or Work Location: Primary Work Shift: Day Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Compensation Range: $40.70 - $61.05 per hour, depending on experience ----- Schedule: 12 hour shifts; multiple shifts available. every other weekend ** Up to $15,000 sign-on bonus** Essential Duties & Responsibilities : + Assessing and admitting patients + Keeping a close eye on vital signs and responding when needed + Collaborating with our healthcare crew to provide exceptional patient care + Administering medications as provided by Physician and providing patient and family education Qualifications: + A valid RN license + Pediatric experience + Med Surg experience preferred + Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team Education/Experience Minimum Required: + A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing Preferred: + Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing + Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting License/Certification Minimum Required: + Current NYS RN License Preferred: + Professional certification in a related nursing specialty + Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.
