Job Description:
This position provides appropriate and effective clinical pharmacy care, leadership, mentoring, and training to clinical staff, pharmacy residents, and pharmacy students. Incumbents are expected to actively contribute to the organizational knowledge and goals of Intermountain Healthcare and to the scientific body of knowledge.Schedule
Monday – Friday with rotating on-call weekend service
Job Essentials
Performs all patient care duties and expectations of a Pharmacist-Clinical.
Provides leadership to system clinical pharmacy networks and Intermountain Clinical Programs in area of expertise, as well as local leadership and expertise with the goal of clinical excellence, quality improvement, and system integration.
Actively involved in the development and implementation of protocols, clinical pathways, guidelines, and medication use evaluations.
Actively collaborates or conducts research with intent of publishing findings to contribute to the scientific body of knowledge.
Act as a preceptor for a minimum of six learners per year (based upon availability of learners).
Actively elevates the practice of Pharmacy by speaking at state or national pharmacy meetings, filling committee assignments in state or national professional organization, serving on boards of state or national organizations, or participating on hospital or system committees.
Actively involved in professional development of general pharmacy staff as well as education of other disciplines (nursing, physicians, medical residents, etc).
