Pediatric Urologist-Researcher

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of pediatric urology. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Urology or eligible for such certification.
Teaching responsibilities may include instruction of medical students and residents as well as pediatric urology fellows in the operating room, outpatient clinic, and on inpatient rounds.
Clinical responsibilities may include care for urologic patients, including open, endoscopic, and minimally invasive surgery.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include studies in areas of clinical outcomes, hypospadias, and urologic reconstruction.
All candidates must have completed training through an ACGME-approved pediatric urology fellowship. A strong research background and demonstrated potential for developing independent research will be preferred, and the successful candidate will be expected to publish in peer-reviewed journals
