Responsibilities

The Division of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine at Mayo Clinic Health System in Red Wing, Minnesota is seeking a board certified/eligible pediatrician to join a practice of 3 board-certified pediatricians.  The ideal candidate will have an interest in medical education, research and clinical work. 

The pediatricians will have the opportunity to evaluate and treat children and adolescents with acute and chronic medical conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Skill required in conducting comprehensive evaluation of patients; performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; assessing patient status relative to hospital admissions and discharges; prescribe medications and treatments; consult with colleagues on patient management and treatment plans; and participate in call rotations.  

-Call rotation of 1:6
-4-5 days per week averaging 18-20 patients per day 
-Pediatric nurse phone triage available
-Serves approximately 350 births with 25 pediatric admissions annually
-Epic EHR, connected across all Mayo Clinic sites
-Regular teaching opportunities
-Ongoing clinical quality and research opportunities

Qualifications

License or Certification

Candidate must possess or be easily able to obtain licensure in the state of Minnesota.  Candidate must be board certified/board eligible with the American Board of Pediatrics.
