Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Pediatrician to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health/Tremont. Opportunity Details:

Provides comprehensive primary care to all clinical pediatric patients from birth through age 21 years. Manages both acute and chronic conditions. Precepts pediatric residents in their continuity clinic Involved in the admission and discharge process of all pediatric patients. Reviews and updates the immunization status of all pediatric patients. Performs preventive health services for all pediatric patients by schedule according to the American Academy of Pediatrics Standards. Offers counseling to adolescent patients on substance abuse, sex education, HIV prevention, pregnancy prevention and tobacco counseling. Provides developmental and anticipatory guidance to all patients as appropriate. Reviews and manages all abnormal laboratory results and other tests. Ensures that all patients with missed appointments are recalled in a timely fashion. Ensures the safety of all patients while they are in the clinic setting. Review and ensures that the National Patients Safety Goals are met at all times. Ensures that allergies are properly documented on all patients. Ensures that medications prescribed are fully explained to patients with the potential side-effects. Required to complete annual evaluations. Participate in committees by your Medical Director. Available to work evenings and weekends. May be asked to move between sites as designated by Chief Medical Officer. Peer review. Refer to specialties, e.g. Dental. Care gaps/Care gap metrics. Meeting clinical metrics. Timely closure of encounters (24 hours). Timely completion of patient forms.
