Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (CSMC) is seeking an experienced Neonatologist to join the Division of Neonatology, the largest division in the Department of Pediatrics.
The Cedars-Sinai NICU is a world class, Level IV pediatric trauma center. Our NICU is one of the largest in Southern California and it is unmatched in the United States for its state-of-the-art design and technology treating approximately 800 – 900 newborns per year with last year treating a record 1200 newborns. Cedars-Sinai is also one of the biggest labor and delivery facilities in the country, averaging between 6500 – 7000 births annually.
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is advancing an ambitious vision for children’s healthcare, thanks to the generosity of the Shapell Guerin Family Foundation and its president, Vera Guerin. Propelled by this historic $100 million gift, the largest lifetime gift in Cedars-Sinai 119-year history, Cedars-Sinai Guerin Children’s will fill a critical gap in care for young patients in Los Angeles and beyond. It will provide primary and specialty care for patients as they grow from newborns to adolescents to adults. Guerin Children’s is also going to build on Cedars-Sinai’s already robust care in pediatrics and labor and delivery.
In addition to current pediatric intensive care beds and neonatal intensive care beds, the hospital has renovated an inpatient space with 26 beds. Ophir Klein, MD, PhD, an internationally recognized innovator in pediatrics and genetics, has been named as the inaugural director of Cedars-Sinai Guerin Children’s, as well as the David and Meredith Kaplan Distinguished Chair in Children’s Health.
