We are currently hiring a Peer Advocate, to work in our Herkimer County office. As the Peer Advocate, you would be responsible for: + Obtain and retain knowledge of alcohol and substance abuse, trauma informed care, family systems and recovery community. + Engage and empower individuals to obtain and maintain sobriety + Provide substance abuse intervention services utilizing evidence-based practices and programs. + Arrange schedule and conduct peer support recovery meetings/groups. + Help individuals develop, maintain and self-monitor Recovery Plans.
