Peer Recovery Representative
Educate and assist individuals and their families with navigating substance misuse treatment and resources Coach individuals and their families about recovery regarding variations in coping styles, motivations, strengths and the resources of the individual Identify, navigate and enhance motivation for engagement in various self-help and community recovery organizations Advocate for individuals to ensure appropriate community-based treatment and recovery linkages and services Work collaboratively with other disciplines on the medical units to develop an understanding of the individual’s level of motivation, engagement and ongoing recovery needs Empower individuals to make self -determined and self-directed choices about their recovery pathway Engage actively in weekly supervision meetings and case reviews. Complete necessary documentation and charting. Ability to work in a fastpaced ED environment.
