Provide peer recovery services to individuals and groups within Carilion Clinic’s inpatient settings outpatient clinics, emergency departments and throughout the surrounding communities.
Education: High School Diploma/GED
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Completion of Virginia Department of Behavioral Health Peer Recovery Specialist 72-hour Training.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Be in recovery from a mental illness and/or substance use disorder for two or more years. Must be comfortable with disclosure of own recovery story and willing to use it within the Peer Recovery Special Ethical Guidelines
