Our full-service network provides a variety of Primary Care & Priority Care Services, including Family, Internal, Geriatric, and Pediatric Medicine, in addition to several specialties to deliver custom care based on the unique needs of our patients. **Responsibilities** + The Peer Specialist must have experience in coping and success in life despite having a mental illness. + Help individuals in setting and achieving their own needs, wants, and goals. + Maintain high standards of personal conduct. Teach and role model the value of every individual’s recovery experience. Conduct self in a manner that fosters own recovery. Share with consumers and colleagues personal recovery stories from mental illness, and will likewise be able to identify and describe the supports that promote recovery. + At all times will respect the confidentiality, rights and dignity of the individuals served. + Serve as an advocate for patients through supporting recovery based services, assisting individuals in making their own decisions in all matters when dealing with other professionals, and in developing empowerment skills through self-advocacy and stigma-busting and sharing materials with others. + Advocate for the full integration of individuals in the communities of their choice and promote the inherent value of these individuals to those communities – guided by the principle that individuals have the right to live in the least restrictive and least intrusive environment. + Maintain a working knowledge of current treatment and development in the mental health field – specifically related to recovery – through studies and approved continuing education workshops or trainings. **Qualifications** _Education:_ + Required: High School Diploma or GED required. + Preferred: Bachelors Degree _Licensure:_ + CPSS (Certified Peer Support Specialist) certification preferred + Basic Life Support certification required **Pay Range** $15.88 - $21.83 /hour We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
