ResponsibilitiesAs a part time Peer Support Specialist, you will assist clients in their recovery process, crisis intervention, and create personalized treatment plans.
You will be working on:
Communication skillsIndividual Wellness RecoveryCrisis intervention and treatmentCase management activitiesCreating individual treatment plans based on individual needsAm I a good fit?
In this position you will be travelling in the community to meet families where they are. A flexible schedule is important for this role and allows you to have control over your session planning. You will have significant documentation and travel, so good time management is a must!
QualificationsQualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old.Must have a mental health condition and/or substance use disorder, must be in recovery, must be open minded, and must be willing to share personal experiences with mental illness/substance use publicly.Must be a High School Graduate or have GED.Must have a valid driver’s license in state of employment with a safe driving record.Must have good communication skills, both written and oral.Must have successfully completed state specific Peer Specialist training and exam.
