We are currently looking for a proactive and well-organised Pensions Project Coordinator to join our GMP team. You will oversee and coordinate projects for multiple clients relating to GMP rectification and equalisation, ensuring their successful delivery and implementation.
This is an opportunity to fulfil a fundamental role in coordinating high level and challenging projects at a national level within Mercer.
This role is fully remote and can be based anywhere in the UK.
As a Pensions Project Coordinator you will be working as part of our GSD Wealth Actuarial team and will report the tracking and management of projects for multiple clients to Lead Consultants and GMP Delivery Lead.
You will play a key role in coordinating project activities, managing resources, mitigating risks, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration among all stakeholders involved.
We will count on you to:
Develop and maintain project plans for each client including agreeing the project scope, budget, deliverables and timescales with key stakeholdersTrack project progress against the established plan, monitor key milestones, and report project status to stakeholders and managementManage activities end-to-end during the project life cycle to ensure team delivery of project commitments within timescales and agreed budgetServe as a central point of contact for all project-related communication. This includes coordinating meetings and ensuring effective communication between team members, stakeholders, and managementWork in partnership and develop relationships with various stakeholders in each project, including clients, team members, and Delivery Leads.Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery, escalate to Delivery Leads and develop mitigation strategiesWhat you need to have:
Proven experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role, preferably in the pensions or financial services industryExcellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlinesExceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholdersProficient in project management tools and softwareExperience in monitoring budgets, project scope and change controlProven delivery of projects, on time and to budgetWhat makes you stand out:
Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.Knowledge of GMP rectification and equalisation is preferable (but not required).
