People + Development Generalist
Come build something with Shepley Bulfinch as a People + Development Generalist!   We are looking for an experienced People + Development Generalist (PDG) to join our knowledgeable and expanding People + Development (P+D) team.  This new role will be integral to the employee relations-based values of a team working to build a future that involves and benefits everyone.  Who We Are  Shepley Bulfinch is a national architecture and design firm with offices in Boston, Durham, Hartford, Houston, and Phoenix. In this role, the P+DG is responsible for fostering positive employee engagement, enhancing workplace culture, and managing the organization of records and data. By executing HR policies, supporting talent development initiatives, and maintaining accurate data and record keeping, the P+DG plays a pivotal role in connecting Shepley Bulfinch’s mission with its people.  Engagement across many HR functions— employee relations, benefits, recruiting, onboarding and compliance—is central to our success. Your efforts will enhance both employee satisfaction and organizational performance, helping position Shepley Bulfinch as a leader in architecture and design.  Primary Responsibilities  + Firm facing Communication: Respond to P+D inbox, handle employment confirmations, background checks, reimbursements requests, and time off queries demonstrated with strong verbal and written communication  + Data Management: Provide accurate data to other departments, maintain and update firm’s database and records  + Knowledge Maintenance: Stay updated on HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies  + Recurring Functions: Support performance reviews, salary administration, year-end processes, recruitment and benefit orientation  + Administrative Tasks: Organize administrative functions, meet deadlines, and handle ad hoc projects  + Compliance: Understand and follow up on compliance reporting  + Integrity and Confidentiality: Maintain integrity and confidentiality in employee relations  Qualifications  + Bachelor’s degree in HR or related discipline preferred  + 5+ years HR experience preferred  + Experience in architecture or design firm strongly preferred  + Previously worked in a virtual environment   + Must be able to travel up to 4 times a year  Shepley Bulfinch offers competitive benefits and compensation, including health and dental insurance, a 401(k) and profit-sharing plan, and flexible work schedules, as well as a range of professional growth and development opportunities.  Shepley Bulfinch is an Equal Opportunity Employer    Powered by JazzHR
