Job Description

This role is designed to further the development of the individual's HR education, knowledge, and experience by leading and supporting a diverse range of HR processes and procedures, while assisting the Plant People & Culture Manager and plant operations team. 

The individual in the People & Culture Development Program should:

Have a high level of emotional intelligence with strong interpersonal skillsBe very detail-oriented and comfortable working with a lot of dataHave a strong desire to work in a manufacturing environment and grow and develop within the People & Culture function  Strong drive for personal growth and learning new skillsBe familiar with creating a culture of safety, wellbeing, accountability and trust

Activities and Experiences:

Deep dives with focus groups to solve issuesDepartmental job shadow and rotationsGrievance process/meetingsLabor Management meetingsAnnual compensation cycle Talent and succession planningTraining & DevelopmentEmployee & Manager Self-ServiceEmployee InvestigationsPerformance Management

Taught and then owns or coordinates:

Open enrollmentQuarterly plant wide meetingsCoordinate with Talent Acquisition on job postings and other recruiting activity for the plantNew hire orientation and onboardingAdministration of Supervisor testCoordination of Apprenticeship testingLead engagement activities within the plantOversee Attendance Policy managementBack-up to Payroll

QualificationsBachelor Degree in Human Resources, or other related field1-3 years experience in an HR function (e.g. generalist, leave management, talent acquisition, employee relations)Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferredAbility to manage and rank competing priorities to meet deadlinesAbility to work outside of regular business hours as neededWillingness to relocate for future opportunities

Additional Information

What we offer at O-I:

Salary Range:  The expected salary range for this position is between $70,000 - $85,000 and includes a possible 12% quarterly incentive bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
