Overview

Are you an energetic and driven individual looking for a rewarding career in Human Resources? We are seeking a talented People and Culture Specialist to join our dynamic team at a top hotel. In this role, you will play an integral part in supporting the HR team and providing exceptional service to our employees. As a People and Culture Specialist, you will help recruit, onboard, and train new hires, assist with benefits administration, and maintain employee records. You'll also have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and initiatives that make a difference in our organization.  

 

 

Responsibilities

Key Resonsinilities:

 

• Model a workplace culture that is consistent and emphasises the mission, vision and
values of Davidson Hospitality Group
• Work with other areas of the organization, such as payroll, to ensure they
have timely and accurate information
• Coordinate and administer processes for reviews, performance development
reviews
• Contribute to the development and review of HR policies and procedures
• Develop and publish a monthly electronic staff newsletter in consultation with the
Manager, People and Culture
• Coordinate and undertake auditing of employee files to ensure accuracy 
• Provide high-level administration support for the People and Culture function
• Administer the coordination, processing and data entry of all paper and electronic HR throught Workday

• Manage HR systems and databases in consultation with the Manager, People and Culture
ensuring privacy and accuracy of records and information

• Support the Manager, People and Culture with all aspects of staff training and
development

• Maintain and strengthen staff relationships through genuine efforts to invite and welcome
participation and involvement

• Foster innovation through the development and support of new and improved methods of
team member recognition

• Work with the Leadership team and the Executive Team to coordinate functions, events
promotions that support organizational and operational objectives

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred1-2 years of experience in Human Resources or related fieldKnowledge of HR laws and regulationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentialityProficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systemsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple prioritiesPassion for delivering exceptional service to employees Benefits
