We are currently seeking our next People & Culture Generalist to join our team.

Here is what you will be doing each day:

As our People & Culture Generalist, you’ll be the go-to expert, coaching and advising property leadership on sensitive work-related issues, from conflict resolution to performance management and return-to-work programs. You’ll manage bi-weekly payroll, support benefits administration, and ensure compliance with all federal and provincial labor regulations. You’ll also take on some accounting responsibilities, including daily cash handling, bank reconciliations, tip payouts, payroll processing, and making bank deposits. As a trusted partner, you’ll engage with associates to address their concerns, foster employee engagement, and support P&C programs and projects like performance management and team initiatives. With a knack for analyzing HR metrics, you’ll identify business opportunities and collaborate with the corporate P&C team to implement impactful solutions. Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll also provide administrative support, all while maintaining confidentiality and adapting seamlessly to shifting priorities.


Required Skills and Abilities

1-3 years of experience as a People & Culture/HR Coordinator or in a similar role within HR; hospitality experience a strong asset. Prior experience working in a unionized environment is an advantage. Familiarity with compliance, employment law, employee/labour relations, recruitment and learning and development. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills paired with strong interpersonal abilities. A strong commitment to personal growth and helping others develop professionally.
