We're looking for a mission-driven People & Development Business Partner who is passionate about creating more accessible, inclusive, and equitable communities across Canada where people with low vision have unlimited opportunities and can experience life free from barriers and discrimination.
Your Impact at CNIB
+ Create and articulate a modern learning approach that may include platforms, social engagement, and community-generated content (curation), etc.
+ Lead the research, recommendation, design, development, delivery, and evaluation of accessible and inclusive training solutions to address development gaps.
+ Design and facilitate workshops and training sessions on leadership, soft skills and other relevant topics.
+ Source internal and external subject matter experts to curate the development and delivery of learning content as applicable.
+ Identify talent gaps and execute strategies in partnership with People and Culture Business Partners to address them through various development programs.
+ Support talent and succession planning processes to assess talent, build succession plans and follow up on action items.
+ Develop training to support leadership to utilize performance management platform, establish clear performance goals and develop tools to support ongoing feedback and performance discussions.
+ Provide HR generalist support as required, ensuring alignment with organizational needs.
Who you are:
Education and Certifications
+ Undergraduate degree or postgraduate diploma in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, related field or equivalent experience.
Experience and Qualifications
+ Experience in learning and development, talent management, succession planning, performance management, and project management.
+ Proven experience creating and facilitating talent management programs designed to meet the needs of employees at various levels.
+ Curriculum development experience with the ability to create content designed to meet the needs of employees at various levels.
+ Bilingual in French an asset.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, collaborate, and influence employees across the organization.
+ Strong understanding of accessibility principles in the context of learning and development
+ Demonstrate project management and budgeting skills, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Knowledge of the principles of organizational development, performance management, and adult learning and education.
+ Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
+ Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
+ Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.
