This Operations Manager role in our People Development (“PD”) Team is responsible for central learning administration and logistics working with our Shared Service Centre (“SSC”).  This role will work closely with the PD Senior Manager and Head of PD to ensure the effective delivery of our firmwide learning offering to support our people and the business to succeed.

In this role you’ll:

Ensure that robust processes and controls are in place and maintained to meet identified quality controls to deliver and review our firmwide learning offering.Manage the PD Operations team to ensure day-to-day tasks are managed efficiently and the team delivers an excellent client service to our internal stakeholders.Manage the PD Team’s relationship with the SSC to ensure that SSC support is used effectively and is delivered within the agreed Service Level Agreements.  To seek opportunities to delegate PD Team work to the SSC.Liaise with external vendors to ensure value for money in the purchase of products and services and that contracts are in place according to BDO’s Supplier Due Diligence process.Collaborate with the relevant system support teams and other firm-wide learning teams to establish robust governance of the Learning Management System to ensure a consistent approach is adopted to store and share learning resources and courses.Ensure our learning offering is marketed in the right way on our learning pages and firm communication channels working with our Communications Team.Effective data management, to include working with the People Analytics team, to support reporting and ongoing analysis and review of our offering.Work with the Head of PD to carry out the day-to-day management of the learning budget, including invoicing, analysis and reporting.

You’ll be someone with:

Proven experience of administering a firmwide learning offering and of maintaining quality processes and delivering high quality outputs preferably in a regulated environment with a shared services model.Proven experience of configuring and working with learning management systems, Workday is preferred.Experience of learning analytics and interpretation of data to produce meaningful reports and information.Proven experience of working with external vendors, managing billing, invoicing and Service Level Agreements.Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.  Experience of working with a Centre of Excellence model and of collaborating with learning SMEs and stakeholders across the business preferred.Excellent project management skills.Excellent IT skills (to include Excel, Powerpoint and an understanding of data dashboard design and management).Proven ability to be an ambassador for the People Development strategy across the business.Proven management skills with the ability to coach and supervise others.
