Job Description

THE POSITION:

The People Director – Channel Management is responsible for leadership and guidance to the Channel Management & 3PL organization’s HR operations. The Director is responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices, and identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent management goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.Act as a trusted advisor, business partner, and active participant for the EVERSANA Channel Management Leadership Team.Exhibits high level of influence by becoming a trusted advisor operating in data-driven decisionsDemonstrates the consistent ability to use data and the insights/analysis that tie to the dataPlans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organizations human resource compliance and strategy needs.Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, leaves, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, and morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development.Provide coaching and guidance to people managers on employee development, policy administration, and performance improvement.Partners with Talent Acquisition Department to identify staffing and recruiting needs; supports the development and execution of best practices for hiring and talent management.Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organizations human resource information system.Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias. All other duties as assigned

PEOPLE LEADER

People leaders must possess both the skills to effectively accomplish these tasks and the emotional intelligence to do so in alignment with our cultural values.  In addition to the critical management and leadership tasks listed above, this role also includes the following unique responsibilities:

Management and leadership of 2-3 direct reports and their performance levelsInterview, select and supervise the activities of the department staff; communicate interpret and discuss with team the company policies and procedures and ensure that all objectives are met and communicated within HR and to the appropriate stakeholders across the enterprise.Determine job objectives, work methods and performance standards; review performance relative to departmental objectives discussion appraisal with each employee and performance; authorize and communicate salary changes, promotions, transfers, discipline and discharge and administer all other personnel actions.

EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB:

Travel Up to 10% travel to all HR meetings and Channel Management locations as defined. Hours full-time, variesMust be onsite at our Memphis, TN Distribution Center five (5) days per week and available to support emergency situations for a  three (3) shift operation and some weekends.

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR roles to include recruiting, performance management, training, compensation and benefits, employee relations and/or other associated HR specialties.Minimum of 3 plus years of experience leading Human Resources in a distribution, manufacturing or similar environmentThis position requires a Bachelor-level degree preferably in Human Resources ManagementExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentialityThorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulationsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bilingual in English & SpanishSHRM/PHR/ SPHR Certification

The physical and mental requirements along with the work environment characteristics described here are representative of those individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.

Office: While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet, with frequent interruptions and multiple demands.
