Step into the role of People Leader Support Manager (HR) – Assistant Vice President, where you will be assisting a diverse client group across Barclays Japan Franchise, providing consultation advice and help to senior managers on HR related matters on the ground. You’ll work directly and closely with HR specialist teams, business heads and business managers on talent acquisition and management, training and development, compensation, and employee relations matters. In addition to providing delivery and execution services in Japan, you’ll work with global HR teams to deliver seamless HR services to the business, guarantee HR practices consistency globally and share local specific projects/needs.
This position directly reports to Japan’s Head of HR/People Leader Support Lead.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English are essential, along with native-level proficiency in Japanese.

Accountabilities
Collaboration across the function to deliver HR cyclical and non-cyclical activities such as: organisational design, talent reviews, D&I strategy, annual promotion processes, pay round implementation, succession planning, and other HR practices.Project manage defined cyclical and non-cyclical activity ensuring use of project artefacts and collateral.Monitoring and evaluation of project progress, including risks and mitigations and closing of project as appropriate.Manage project implementation reviews and ensuring improvements are identified and implemented in line with customer feedback.Manage key stakeholder relationships with both HR Business Partners and business leadership using business insights and knowledge to support delivery of key projects.Assistant Vice President Expectations
