Purpose:   

The People Operations Generalist plays a key role in ensuring that the company’s People Operations processes are efficient, effective, and aligned with organizational and departmental goals. This position involves managing day-to-day HR operations, including employee onboarding and offboarding, HRIS management, benefits administration, leave of absence administration, and reporting and compliance.  

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver, adaptable team member, and has strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of HR best practices. 

Location Requirements: This position will work onsite out of our Corporate Office in Sandy Springs, GA with work-from-home flexibility on Friday 

Responsibilities:  

Serve as a point of contact for employees on HR-related queries, providing guidance and support.  Assist in developing, updating, and executing personnel procedures and policies in compliance with local and national regulations and applicable employment laws; provide guidance and interpretation for business operations.Maintain HRIS and personnel files, ensuring proper organization, consistency, completeness, and compliance with policies at all stages of the employee life cycle.Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes and related activities, including, but not limited to background checks, drug screenings, data entry, I-9 verification, scheduling, planning, orientation sessions, stay surveys and exit interviews.Assist with administration of employee benefits programs and assist with benefits inquiries, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.Responsible for People Operations HRIS reporting and generating various reports while maintaining data integrity, confidentiality, and security; complete audits as required.Process verifications of employment, unemployment claims, worker’s compensation, leaves of absence and disability claim requests.Assist with management and execution of employee engagement programs such as rewards and recognition programs, birthday gifts, holiday gifts, service recognition, etc.Contribute to the development and implementation of People Operations strategies and initiatives that align with the company’s goals. Support the People Operations Director and VP, People with ad hoc tasks and projects; Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute special projects and assignments as needed.

Requirements:  

2+ years of HR generalist experience2+ years of direct HRIS management experienceExperience with ADP Workforce Now highly preferredExperience with Office365, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS ExcelBachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferredHR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred

Knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, benefits administration, and labor relations.Strong verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to be successful in a collaborative team environmentMust have proven conflict resolution skills, must be able to think through complex HR issues and provide recommendationsMust have excellent prioritization skills and able to effectively manage priorities and deadlinesAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.Ability to maintain an open mindset and make sound decisions in line with company policiesMust be highly confidential, professional, articulate and customer-friendlyHighly effective multi-tasker; resourceful and proactive
