The Human Resources Generalist performs a variety of complex human resources duties on a professional level, partnering closely with the HR Supervisor and Department Leaders to support HR processes and department-specific strategies. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance. The Human Resources Generalist is an essential and strategic partner of the HR leadership team. This position provides direct supervision to Employment Specialists, as well as serving as a coach and mentor.
Essential Functions
Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements. Respond to human resources-related inquiries. Complete Verification of Employment request (VOEs)Support recruitment activities including assisting Employment Specialist with new employee on-boarding and orientation. Work collaboratively with the human resources recruitment team to develop effective recruitment strategies and identify future staffing needs. Maintain employee data in HRIS system, including new hires, terminations and status changes. Assure staff have the current required licensure and certifications for their position, maintaining data in HRIS. Communicate with managers and staff as needed to assure compliance. Maintain employee personnel records. Respond to subpoenas and request for information. Report monthly organizational HR dashboard statistics to Market Director. Support HR Supervisor in managing wage progression and increases. Exemplify a team concept with all staff, internal, and external customers. Demonstrate personal customer services skills and promotes excellence in employee performance. Demonstrate ability to organize and complete projects. Work collaboratively with Lourdes and Trios HR team members. Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion at all times. Functions collaboratively as part of a fast-paced, client oriented team and is an active participant in developing team goal, objectives, and processes.Minimum Education
High School diploma - Required Associate's degree- Required Bachelor's Degree-Preferred SHRM Or PHR - Preferred 2+ years HR experience as a generalist - Required HealthCare experience - PreferredBenefits:
