The purpose of the role is to provide a visible and highly proactive HR service to management and employees. This position has responsibility for assisting and supporting the HR Shared Service team in maintaining and administering the Human Resources function. The role will allow the candidate to develop their HR capabilities and will involve day to day interaction with key stakeholders across the business.
New Joiner Administration
Draft offer letter & contract of employment documents and ensure all documentation is signed and returned for day 1
Administer all pre-employment screening for new joiners and manage any exceptions;
Liaise with new joiners regarding day 1 arrangements and arrange all system access for day 1 including company benefits;
Conduct induction session
Leaver Administration
Maintain leaver tracker status;
Calculate notice periods & holiday entitlements and feed accurate information to payroll;
Conduct exit interviews with all leavers;
Ensure all systems access is closed in line with leave dates and all is in order in preparation for audit.
HR Systems and Payroll
Action all role changes and salary increases – drafting letters, updating systems;
Support with monthly payroll process to ensure all information feeding into payroll is accurate;
Ensuring all employee records and HR systems are maintained, accurate and kept up to date at all times;
Updating the HR pages on the intranet;
Assisting with user queries relating to all HR Systems.
Employee Support
First point of contact for all queries sent to HR mailboxes.
Processing employer references, including letting & mortgage references;
Responsible for data protection regulations within HR document retention.
Experience required
Experience with using Workday would be desirable.
Experience working in a fast paced environment;
CIPD qualified or equivalent degree;
Strong initiative and problem solving abilities;
High attention to detail;
Have an understanding of basic HR legislation;
Be organised and proactive, with the drive to deliver results and manage self effectively
Confident with well-developed written and verbal communication skills;
Capable of working to deadlines and adapting to changing conditions;
Experience handling confidential material;
The flexibility and willingness to learn;
To enjoy working with people and the ability to work as part of a team;
Intermediate computer skills e.g. experience of Microsoft Office tools are essential.
