PCSI is looking for a People Team Business Partner to provide human resources support at PCSI’s Corporate location, along with several remote sites. The People Team Business Partner formulates partnerships across the HR function and establishes themselves as a trusted advisor for employees and management within designated business units. They also are skilled as an effective communicator, can identify training needs, build relationships, and effectively engage with all levels of staff members.
In support of current team initiatives, the ideal Business Partner will have a strong Business Partner background, along with previous specialist experience in one or more of the following: training and development, compensation management, or communication strategy. This position reports to the Director of People Team and works out of our Corporate location in Austin, TX on a hybrid work schedule.

What You'll Do as People Team Business Partner:
Partners with designated unit(s) to align business objectives with employees and leadership. Manage and/or participate in special projects or corporate programs as assigned. Serve as a consultant/subject matter expert to leaders and staff on People Team (PT) related matters, providing guidance and interpretation of policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and CBA. Provides guidance on leader’s inquiries and/or partner with leaders in conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations in a timely manner. Manages complex employee relations issue that may include conducting independent People Team investigations and properly reporting findings to leadership. Ensures follow through on related action items resulting from the investigation outcome. Champion and effectively communicate information related to all PT initiatives, keeping assigned units abreast of updates and/or changes. Acts as the liaison or administrator for key PT events to include effectively communicating information, conducting employee presentations, distribution of materials, adhering to deadlines. Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to leaders (line supervisors/managers) (i.e. coaching, counseling, development and training, DARs, performance letters or PIPS). Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks an ensuring compliance with local, state, federal laws. Consult with PT Director for guidance. Support talent management efforts by ensuring successful coordinated efforts between hiring managers and Talent Partner, to include proper handling of internal promotions and transfers. Partner with Workforce Development staff for recruitment and placement of AbilityOne hires. Work closely with leadership and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase retention. Manages labor relations by developing a relationship with union representatives. Actively participate and/or manage the grievance process to ensure adherence to the CBA and help facilitate resolution. Oversees adherence to EEOC and affirmative action program and diversity goals set by the organization and responds to all EEOC and/or NLRB charges. Identifies training needs and partners with PT leadership as needed. Facilitates training sessions on various PT related topics and/or coordinate other training resources. Responsible for effectively communicating and providing guidance on Leave Administration to include working collaboratively with our 3rd party leave administrator and our benefits team. Assists in the maintenance and revision of site job descriptions.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum five (5) years of prior experience in multiple HR disciplines, including resolving complex employee relations issues, performance management, talent management and development, HR metrics and best practices; or equivalent combination of education and experience. PHR or equivalent HR Certification is preferred. Experience with HR compliance and reporting to include Affirmative Action, EEO and VETS reporting, etc. Experienced in use of HRIS. In-depth knowledge of ADAAA. Labor relations experience preferred.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of PC functions and Software. Proficiency in Windows applications, MS Word, MS Excel, etc. and related applications. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Ability to set and manage priorities. Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.Other Requirements:
