Summary

The People Team Specialist plays a crucial role in managing various critical tasks within the People Team, as well as optimizing the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This role is the first point-of-contact for the People Team and is a key resource for team members, managers and the People Team, partnering across the entire organization to ensure our processes are operating effectively with accurate information. This role involves system configuration, data management, reporting, and troubleshooting, with a focus on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of People operations and processes.  


Responsibilities

Provide professional and confidential support and administration across all People functions and serve as primary point-of-contact for People related inquiries and requests, and provide technical support for HRIS users to address and resolve system-related issues Manage and enhance team member onboarding, offboarding, and transfers while coordinating with internal partners and team members to delegate or schedule tasks as needed. Prepare and assign paperwork and ensure all necessary documents are completed, coordinate the return of company property, and update records and systems to reflect employment changes Monitor HRIS performance and provide recommendations for improvements, lead initiatives to improve HRIS processes and workflows that enhance user experience, streamline data entry, and collaborate with cross-functional partners and external vendors to support improvements and integrations with other systems Lead the management of employee records, hard copy files and HRIS database, to ensure accuracy and confidentiality and conduct regular audits to identify and correct discrepancies, develop and implement data management processes to ensure data consistency and reliability Assist in the design and delivery of training and development programs, assign training programs and monitor completion rates, following up as needed with leadership to ensure compliance with training requirements Ensure that People Team processes and practices comply with company policies and regulatory requirements, manage employment authorization process and HRIS security measures, and conduct regular audits of People related processes to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement Utilize the HRIS to prepare and analyze people related reports and data, and assist leaders in creating customized reports and dashboards providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making Provide administrative support to the People Team, organize meetings, manage project-related tasks, and handle human resources related correspondence  Requirements  Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology, or another related discipline, and, 2-4 years in human resources and/or payroll related role working with HRIS systems with a strong understanding of HR processes, or equivalent combination of education and experience Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights Demonstrated high level of operating with integrity and confidentiality Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with a focus on inclusiveness and collaboration Solid understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations Proficiency with HRIS software experience and Microsoft Office/365 applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and Outlook) Strong sense of urgency, ability to manage multiple tasks and project and prioritize effectively Team player with a focus on collaboration Demonstrated ability in creative problem-solving with an interest in bringing progressive solutions to move the organization forward?  Occasional travel required to other locations
