People Technology Intern

Our People Technology Team has an opportunity for a rising Junior or Senior college summer intern to join us and gain experience in doing impactful work within the Human Resources division! 

The People Technology and Data Governance team supports the Human Resources technology for the organization. We lead with a people first mindset, partnering with Human Resources and the business to drive us towards the future of work and innovation. The team manages the foundation of leading HR technology and tools and handles updates, enhancements and integrations with other applications.

What You’ll Do 

The People Technology Intern will gain valuable experience working on our Workday Human Resources application and learn about how it supports various HR processes in different areas of the HR function.  You will work with Workday Technical Analysts and gain exposure to process workflows and to how we review and evaluate system enhancements.  You will also participate in a variety of projects with different HR functional areas related to the Workday application. 

What You Bring 

You will be a rising Junior or Senior at an accredited university or college in May 2025.Interest in work that involves Data Analysis and technologyAdhere to strict confidentiality guidelines related to HR information Interest in or familiarity with data analysis and HR technology Familiarity of or experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel or Google Sheets Curiosity, drive and the ability to work independently and in a team. Great time management, communication skills. 

Bonus Points 

Basic project management experience or courseworkUnderstanding of / interest in Human Resources processesExposure to Workday or other Human Resources Information System technology

Intern Pay Rates:

Undergraduates: Rising Sophomore:  $18/hr  

Undergraduates: Rising Junior/Senior:  $21/hr  

Returning Interns:  $23/hr  

Masters Students/JD:   $27/hr   

MBA Students/PharmD:   $36/hr   

Salary Range

At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets,  licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs. 

*Based on annual corporate goal achievement and individual performance.
