Minimum Qualifications
At least eight (8) years of experience in database administration including a minimum of five (5) years experience utilizing Oracle relational databases, which encompasses installing, managing, upgrading and supporting relational databases in a complex PeopleSoft and Enabling Technologies environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong experience supporting multiple PeopleSoft implementations.
Installing, upgrading and supporting Oracle database software and the associated Oracle Technology stack in a multi-tier environment including:
Demonstrated experience administering Oracle Database 11gR2 including at least 5 of the following components:
Real Application Clusters (RAC)
Automatic Storage Management (ASM)
Oracle Data Guard
RMAN
OEM Grid Control or OEM Cloud Control
Advanced Security Option
Database Vault
Audit Vault
Advanced Compression
Database Firewall
Various Oracle management packs (candidate should specify management packs in which they are experienced)
Oracle Partitioning
PeopleSoft behavior in an IBM AIX 7/1 environment including memory allocation.
Additional Desired Traits:
Understanding of high availability and disaster recovery requirements and solutions.
Knowledge and experience with server and application sizing and capacity planning
Understanding and experience implementing database security procedures and best practices
Knowledge and experience with performance testing a complex, multi-tiered system
Knowledge and experience with performance tuning; recognizing root cause and recommending workable solutions
Automating routine DBA tasks
Knowledge and experience of Data Masking requirements and routines
