Overview The Role: The Service Technician will work in partnership with the Location team to Repair, and complete Preventative Maintenance on New and Used Beverage Equipment at the Dartmouth Pepsi Equipment Services Shop. The role will contribute to the sustainable success and growth of PepsiCo by ensuring all applicable equipment platforms including Vending Machines, Coolers, Fountain, Ice Machines, Frozen Beverage, Coffee/Tea, and others are fully operational as per company standards. This position will be expected to process, problem solve, troubleshoot, and ultimately repair all equipment concerns. Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm (Might Vary) Compensation: This is a full-time position $26.78 per hour with full-time hours and overtime opportunities Health and Dental Benefits, Pension and Match RSP (720 hours worked) What you can expect from us: Commitment to Safety – outstanding in-house safety record Modern and clean work environment Industry leading diagnostic technology and tools Comprehensive technical and professional training & development Responsibilities Working alone with minimal supervision troubleshooting and performing repair work on soft drink dispensing equipment including vending machines, coolers, and fountain equipment within a designated geography. Demonstrate Competency in using and maintaining small appliance tools and specialized testing equipment, re: Electrical meters and refrigeration diagnostic tools. Accurate completion of invoices, settlement sheets and related paperwork, through hand-held computers and/or a manual paper process. Maintain Parts and Equipment Inventory through regular scheduled Counts and Audits Maintain accurate records of refrigerant and other controlled goods as per provincial regulations Apprentice new technicians Monthly On-Call Rotation Qualifications • Recognized Red Seal Journeyman ticket for Small Appliance Service Technician or HVAC • Valid Provincial driver’s license • A clean Ministry of Transport driver’s abstract. • Strong interpersonal/customer skills. • High school diploma or Equivalent • Ability to utilize a Learning Management System to refresh / upgrade technical capability • Able to safely move heavy vending/cooling equipment • Ability to operate a hand-held computer using Apple/Windows based software. • Ability to lift 60 pounds. • Ability to work with arms extended overhead for prolonged periods of time. • Prolonged driving for 8 plus hours. • Ability to service equipment in low storage areas with prolonged Kneeling, Stooping, Crouching and Squatting. • Strong mechanical and electrical skills Success Applicants Can Expect The Following From PepsiCo Beverages Canada: • Competitive compensation, benefits, pension contribution and vacation time • A flexible working environment that promotes a healthy work-life balance • A dynamic and inclusive culture that promotes you to bring your whole self to work • A supportive team that will encourage your professional growth and development • An opportunity to have a meaningful and impactful career within our origination and the community.
