The Psychiatric Social Worker provides direct psychosocial services to mentally ill adults and/or children in the community who are experiencing psychiatric and/or psychosocial difficulties. Utilizes the Needs Adapted Treatment model of care.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate applies psychotherapeutic and family systems theories and techniques in the delivery of professional services to participants and their families of choice. Assists in the overall functioning of the Parachute Program. Works under general supervision.
Qualifications
Licensure: Valid driver's NY State license may be required, as determined by operational/regional needs. Current registration to practice as a Licensed Master Social Worker in New York State required. Education: Master's degree in Social Work required. Completed Needs Adapted Treatment Model (NATM) training or must complete within the first nine months of employment. Experience: Minimum of one year as a social service provider with clients in a mental health setting required. Bilingual skills may be required, as determined by operational needs.
