Responsibilities
The registered nurse is responsible for applying clinical nursing knowledge and skills to promote the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational, and professional standards. The RN serves as a single point of contact for patients, their families, caregivers, and referring physicians to assist in accessing clinical and supportive services across the care continuum. This RN provides guidance to patients and families to improve their understanding and promote their participation with Palliative Care. This position will facilitate patient appointments, including diagnostics, specialty services, and consults, as well as offer educational and emotional suppor

Salary Range: $43.99 – $44.01 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)
Qualifications
Education
Required: Graduate from an approved professional registered nursing program.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Experience
Required: 1-2- years clinical experience.
Preferred: Ambulatory Care, Hospital, Hospice or Palliative Care Experience.
License(s)
Required: Current and valid Texas RN license
Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association
Preferred: Specialty nursing certification in Palliative Care or one appropriate to the specialty area assigned
Special Skills
Required: Able to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population and for CPR, and oxygen
Administration.
Basic computer skills.
Experience with EMRs.
Preferred: Windows bases computer skills
EPIC experience
Other
Required: Clear communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Position may require sporadic travel throughout the greater Houston area, per the physician direction for
home visits.
Must have reliable personal transportation and current insurance coverage.
Preferred: ACLS and/or PALS
