Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist

Work Schedule: 

Per Diem, day shift. Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00am – 4:30pm. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to:

Provide consultative and rehabilitative treatment services to complex patients admitted to the acute hospital in the domains of speech, language and cognition.  Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to create comprehensive evidence-based treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes and discharge plans. Work within the context of patient- and family- centered care in a primary and specialty care academic medical center. Seek continual learning opportunities to advance one’s own practice and educate others. Qualifications Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders Required Work Experience Completion of Clinical Speech Language Pathology Fellowship Requirement Preferred Experience in a medical setting as a Speech Language Pathologist Preferred Licenses & Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months Required Wisconsin state license (or eligible) to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC - SLP) Preferred

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Familiarity with a variety of equipment, including computer software, is required. Organization, independence, time management, flexibility, and a positive attitude are crucial to successful performance.
