Our Perception organization belong to the Automotive branch delivering the Snapdragon Digital Chassis - a set of cloud-connected platforms for telematics and connectivity, digital cockpit, and driver assistance and autonomy. As a Perception Software Engineer at Qualcomm Automotive, you will design, develop, create, modify and validate state-of-the-art computer vision software for autonomous driving and advanced driver assistance systems. You will be part of Requirement Area Spatial Awareness, working closely with experts in different areas within computer vision. You will have the opportunity to contribute with your expertise as well as learn from other highly skilled developers. Together you develop algorithms for Detection of Freespace, i.e. Drivable area for the vehicle, enabling autonomous braking, adaptive cruise control and high-level autonomy. As a member of one of our cross functional teams, you will be performing tasks covering all parts of the product development cycle, including software design, machine learning, hands on work with data, testing, writing requirements and functional safety. **Minimum Qualifications:** • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. • 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. As a person, we are looking for you who have a drive and “can do”-attitude, as well as the willingness to learn and expand your skillset in new areas. We also believe you are highly motivated and a pragmatic problem solver. Preferably, you also have previous experience from leadership positions as Team Lead or Tech Lead. We are looking for someone who matches at least 2-3 of the descriptions below: + _Software Development:_ You have a robust software development background, preferably complemented by expertise in system design and architecture **(required)** . + _Language and Tools:_ Proficiency in languages and tools for machine learning and SW development, particularly and C/C++, python and tensorflow. + _Machine Learning:_ You bring practical experience in machine learning development, gained from relevant industry contexts. This includes practical experience of working with and developing the datasets used. + _Computer Vision:_ You have experience from applying algorithms to solve complex problems within Computer Vision. **Preferred Qualification:** + Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering Physics, Machine Learning, Computer Science or related field. + 8+ years of Software Engineering, Computer Vision, Machine learning and/or related work experience. + 1+ years in leadership position (Team Lead, Tech Lead, Project Lead or similar) *References to a particular number of years experience are for indicative purposes only.
