Performance Architect

Location: Hartford, CT

Qualifications:

Bachelors in science , engineering or equivalent Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Extensive experience in performance testing and worked with various technologies (J2EE/Java, .net, Webservices etc.) Deep understanding of architecture in order to gather Non-functional requirements Test Scenario design to validate the system’s ability to provide service to achieve SLAs Expert in AWS Cloud components and Performance Monitoring using Dynatrace, AWS cloud watch and Splunk dashboards for analyzing load test results Troubleshooting performance issues to identify the root cause and resolve issues Experience in programming languages and process automation Code design and reviews to ensure performance best practices are embedded in design. Multi-level reporting across the organization for test results and release confidence

Roles & Responsibilities:

The candidate will handle application Performance Engineering activities along with resiliency testing

Candidate will need to work with performance testing and APM tools such as – LoadRunner, JMeter, Splunk and Dynatrace

Should have expertise in AWS cloud along with necessary certifications

Extensive experience Non-Functional requirement gathering, building comprehensive performance test plan

Should be able to do workload modeling and be able to build monitoring dashboards within Dynatrace and Splunk

Development, execution and maintenance of test scenarios & test scripts (exercise production-like scenarios) to ensure change is optimized for performance and free from defects to ensure optimal customer experience

Monitor server utilization through system commands, as well as Dynatrace and Splunk tools

Analyze test results to provide insight and direction to project teams and system engineers to resolve performance issues

Good communication & stakeholder management

Work Authorization

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $(110,000 – 130,000) depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
