**Job Title: Control Systems SME**
**Salary: £63,537 - £72,000 per annum**
**Location: Peterborough**

**About IPSD**
Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs, tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L Cat® and Perkins engines that power over 5000 applications including Marine, Petroleum, Industrial Applications, Electric Generators, and Locomotives. **Job Summary**
IPSD has an opening for a Controls System SME within the Performance Systems Integration (PSI) team located in the United Kingdom primarily working from our Peterborough Campus.
The PSI team lead the engine performance development cycle; from new technology concept selection, through to development of new products and then supporting and maintaining our current products. PSI also play a key role in integrating our products into customer applications, and optimising performance.
**What You Will Do**
As the Control Systems SME, you will be responsible for:
+ Acting as the go-to person for designing, troubleshooting and optimising core engine and aftertreatment control strategies to deliver world-leading products.
+ Mentoring and coaching a team of highly engaged and talented Engineers.
+ Technical problem solving, including leading cross functional teams.
+ Keeping up to date on new technologies and drive continuous improvement to established techniques.
**What You Have**
Technical Excellence: Knowledge of engine and aftertreatment performance control systems and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges. Level Extensive Experience:
