As a Performance Engineer, you will engage in diagnosing complex issues that the in-house performance testing team has been unable to resolve. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to analyze performance metrics, conducting thorough testing, and providing actionable insights to enhance application performance. You will also be responsible for ensuring that performance testing aligns with the software development lifecycle, contributing to capacity planning, and facilitating problem detection and resolution.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify performance bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
- Develop and execute performance test plans to validate application performance under various conditions.
- Analyze performance test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.
- Continuously monitor application performance and suggest optimizations.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in performance engineering.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Required Skill: Expert proficiency in Micro Focus LoadRunner.
- Additional Good To Have Skills: Experience with Micro Focus Performance Center, Performance Testing.
- Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies and tools.
- Experience in analyzing performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement.
- Familiarity with application performance management techniques.
- Knowledge of capacity planning and resource allocation strategies.
Must have and Good to have skills:
• Strong background on Performance engineering
• Hands-on experience om performance testing tools: JMeter, LoadRunner
• Knowledge on Web Performance Optimization Techniques
• Familiarity with analysis tools: AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Grafana, Splunk
• Hands-on experience with tools: Fiddler, Quantum Metric, Heap Analyzer, Google Dev Tools, Core Web Vitals, ELK
• Experience with technologies: Kubernetes, CI/CD, Jenkins, Chaos Testing, Performance Testing
• Working knowledge of infrastructure components (routers, load balancers, cloud products, container systems, compute, storage, networks)
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux Operating System
Number of years experiences needed: At least 3 years
Shift Schedule: 9pm- 7am
Work Set up: Hybrid
Number of days in a month or week that needs to be in the office: 8x a month in office (2x per week)
