Your Impact

As a Performance Engineer working on Cisco Firepower our newest network security appliance you will work with the following:

Support test and test development activities for Cisco Secure Firewall productsDesign and execute firewall throughput performance test plans and procedures to validate new and existing hardware and software functionalityRecord, analyze, diagnose, report and lead test scenarios, incidents, problems and retests dependent on agreed criteria.Collaborate with product development to solve and implement additional test methodologies.Assist junior team members in troubleshooting and/or interpreting test resultsMinimum Qualifications:BS or higher in computer related field with minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience3 + years of professional work experience with networking such as routing/switching, IP, TCP/UDP, and application layers such as HTTP, SMTP, etc.Experience of the Linux/Unix command lineExperience with Bash and Python scripting languagesWork experience with Firewall, NAT, and IPS technologies 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with network traffic tools such as Spirent, Ixia/Breakingpoint, TeraVM, etcFamiliar with cloud/virtual environments such as Azure, AWS / EKS, GCP, OCI, Alibaba, Kubernetes, EXSi, OpenStack, or KVMCisco Certification such as CCNA/CCNP/CCIE (Routing / Security)Excellent analytical, communication, and technical skillsAbility to execute parallel tasks simultaneouslyWhy Cisco Secure
