Performance Improvement Manager UK (m/w/d)

For our Competence Center Aggregates (CCA) Europe we are looking for a Performance Improvement Manager (f/m/d) for the United Kingdom.

Heidelberg Materials Europe/AMWA (Africa, Mediterranean and Western Asia) operates more than 240 locations. The Performance Improvement (PI) Manager –UK role is based in United Kingdom. The position reports directly to the Head of Operational Excellence for Europe/AMWA CCA. This position has become available due to the promotion of the previous position holder.
This is an excellent development opportunity to gain multi-site and multi-product management experience, as well as become an essential conduit for the flow of good practices across Heidelberg Materials.    

This position will be located in Heidelberg and you will be directly reporting to the Head of Operational Excellence.
 

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE

The Performance Manager for UK will be one of the leaders of CCA with a clear goal of developing a performance culture in the aggregates business

Assist in enhancing the technical competence and operational excellence of our organization, working closely with country management (General and Regional Managers, Technical and Sales Directors and site managers)

Plan, communicate and lead quarry optimization visits with participation of operations, Quality Control, Commercial and logistics teams in UK and help other PI Managers in Europe

Help with the implementation of digital tools to improve business performance

Coordinate and deliver training in UK and other European countries

YOUR PROFILE

University degree, preferably in Mining Engineering or related field qualifications

At least 5 years’ experience of aggregates management in a high level operational role including at least 3 years in a direct quarry management role

Fluent in English - Knowledge of other European languages is a plus

Excellent communication and project management skills and the strong desire to work alongside and support our line management with all aspects of Performance Improvement

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in preparation of reports and presentations

Willingness to travel on a frequent basis
