The Position
Kaufman, Hall & Associates, LLC, is seeking a Senior Associate who will be a significant contributor to our labor competency within Kaufman Hall’s Revenue & Operations Improvement practice. The position demands a strong labor background and experiencing leading supply chain initiatives. In short order, the successful candidate will be expected to lead workforce/ labor client engagements with minimal oversight. He/She will be fully capable of presenting to senior management teams and boards and be able to drive the organization to decisions around critical issues, simultaneously managing multiple client engagements with a variety of staff. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to collaborate with and facilitate workforce discussions among providers across the care spectrum, including physicians, nurses, and other allied providers.
The essential functions of the position are:Oversight and or/delivery of data management activities the encompass client data requests, collecting data from clients and other sources, clarifying and resolving data issues, maintaining source data and maintaining version controlLeadership related to Data Analysis including creating client profiles, inserting data into proprietary tool and using tool to analyze data, and identify idiosyncrasies and trends in dataEnsuring quality control ofVariance analyses on overall cost and productivity, incorporating a wide variety of key metrics, at both the global and departmental levelExpense trend analyses at the financial statement and general ledger level of detailDrawing conclusions from the analysis and making inferences/suggestions as it relates to overall operating expenseResearching appropriate benchmarks for comparisonCreating and maintain a benchmarking repositoryClient data files and deliverablesCreating reports for assessments and client deliverables, specifically including the Interpretation of data and the translation of detailed analysis into consequential summary hypotheses and findings via draft internal and client PowerPoint presentations Assisting in the development and management of key engagement project management tools, templates and reportsMaintaining business development data in SalesforceAssisting in the day-to-day requirements of multiple engagementsDelivering high quality work with integrityAffinity for mentoring and developing junior staff in the pursuit of building the practice teamInterfacing and oversight of client and or KHA resources in delivery of above
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three to six years of progressive experience in and a passion for the healthcare industry, with previous consulting experience preferred. We are seeking highly motivated individuals with a strong history of academic excellence and leadership, personally and professionally.
In addition, the ideal candidate will possess the following:An in-depth understanding of key healthcare trends, information sources, and strategic planning and financeExcellent quantitative and analytical skillsProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI and SQLExcellent oral and written communication skillsA highly intelligent individual with a substantial degree of intellectual curiosity.A career-motivated professional who is energetic and possesses a superb work ethicA self-starter who is able to work well independently.
